The 2025 IEEE Colombian Conference on Communications and Computing (COLCOM), in collaboration with the Doctoral Program in Telematics Engineering at Universidad del Cauca, invites Master and Ph.D. students to participate in the Graduate Student Symposium. This forum fosters collaboration, mentorship, and feedback on high-quality research in Telematics Engineering and related fields. Telematics Engineering is a multidisciplinary field that integrates the telecommunications and informatics disciplines.

The symposium allows master and doctoral students to present their progress, gain valuable insights, and connect with peers and senior researchers, in their final research stages.

Important dates

  • Submission Deadline: May 18, 2025
  • Notification of Acceptance: June 15, 2025
  • Camera-Ready Deadline: June 29, 2025
  • Symposium Date: August 14, 2025

Objective

The primary goal of the Graduate Students Symposium is to provide Master and Ph.D. students with a supportive environment to discuss their research ideas, receive constructive feedback from established experts in the field, and establish collaboration networks with other graduate students.

Participants will benefit from:

  • Feedback on their research from senior scientists.
  • Insights into overcoming research challenges and refining methodologies.
  • Opportunities to establish connections with peers and mentors.

Who should participate?

We welcome submissions from Master and Ph.D. Students who have made significant progress in their research. The emphasis is on progress, validation, and expected outcomes. The conference proceedings will be included in the IEEE Xplore database, so the symposium submission will undergo the same peer review process as the IEEE COLCOM 2025 main conference.
